In Signs are knocking at your door with their new single

In Signs boast the latest melodic rock sound coming all the way from Kyiv, Ukraine. The three-piece band bring with them an immense new single that builds and builds until you are about to explode – and you want to do it all over again!

Introducing the rock track you never knew you needed, ‘Knock Knock’ is the first of several new songs from the trio, hoping to inspire new and old listeners and show the world that In Signs really mean business.

You can watch the brand new lyric video down below!

Combining something old and faithful with a twist of something new, atop influences from their Slavic upbringing, the new single really sets in stone what In Signs are about, simply through one song. The harsh, constricted vocals convey emotion that is only heightened by the incredible melody from the rest of the band.

It’s so important to be true with people who listen to your music and this is our main goal. There are a lot of artists nowadays but not all of them are doing art. We want to prove that music is not about money, it’s about the passion of your life. I’m a closed person and making music and writing lyrics is a perfect way for me to communicate with people. I become a songwriter by chance. I didn’t want to be a musician, it just came up after my first tattoo which is Metallica’s song title ‘Nothing Else Matters’. It’s such a great pleasure to play live some songs which I created from the very beginning. There are a lot of ways to create music but all our songs start from an acoustic guitar and vocals. ”

– Arsen, frontman of In Signs.

Arctic Monkeys reach one billion YouTube hits for ‘Do I Wanna Know?’ video

As reported on NME

Arctic Monkeys have surpassed one billion views of their video for ‘Do I Wanna Know?’ on YouTube.

Released in June 2013, the single featured on Alex Turner and co’s highly-acclaimed fifth album ‘AM’.

According to Music Week, the Sheffield band reached the one billion milestone – one that fewer than 25 videos have achieved on the site – earlier this month. It’s said that fewer than 12 rock acts have reached the same figure.

At present, the Monkeys have 4.39 million subscribers to their official YouTube channel. The final single and title track from their previous record ‘Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino’ currently has over 10.8 million hits.

‘Do I Wanna Know’ debuted at Number 11 on the official UK singles chart in 2013 and has sold 1,724,575 copies to date. You can watch the official video above.

Shortly after it was released, the song opened Arctic Monkeys’ headline set at Glastonbury 2013. That performance will air as part of the BBC’s Glastonbury celebration schedule next weekend.

Earlier this year, AM drummer Matt Helders likened performing the group’s older material live to “doing karaoke”. “[It] Feel like a caricature. It doesn’t feel as genuine playing it anymore,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Arctic Monkeys have been rumoured to be making a live return with a huge hometown show next summer. Reports of a show at Sheffield’s Hillsborough Park emerged after promoters SJM gave notice of a license application for three shows in June 2021.

Devi Charmian: Folk Rocker with a unique name

When you know something is good, you know it’s good. The minute we heard Charmian Devi’s new music we just knew it was special and at this present time, whilst the world is falling apart, her music allows you to escape all the troubles of the world. But first, why not get to know more about Chairmian Devi and afterwards you’ll have the opportunity to indulge her music.

“Charmian Devi has a unique gift for arrangements and composition. Vocals are sweet and sultry. She has talent and her music a sultry and fresh effort.”Michele McManmon, The LA Indie Music Examiner.

“Such a Disgrace’ is the exact opposite with her song. It’s a groovy soul that makes your go out to her.” IndieDial.com

Folk- rock trooper, Chairmian Devi has already written two of this year’s most infectious and seething rock songs and she also assembled a band featuring some of rock’s most revered names;  guitarist Lenny Kaye (Patti Smith Group); Tony Garnier (Bob Dylan’s bass player since 1989; Tom Waits; Paul Simon) and Sonic Youth drummer, Steve Shelley, not to mention the talented work of Marc Urselli behind the production desk (six-times nominated and three-times Grammy award winner: Lou Reed; Mike Patton; Keith Richards; ZZ Top and many more!) Proving her standing among these rock legends, Chairmian Devi is your new rock hero!

…and the lyric video for Radio of None here:

Based in Canada, Chairmian Devi has spent her life as a musician, from melodic garage bands through to lead singer and songwriter for 90s punk band, Wretch Ethyl who became Canada’s most talk-about bands, opening for the likes of Seattle grunge legends, 7 Year Bitch and punk icons, Nomeansno. Their demise after four fraught years sadly coincided with the tragic death of her husband – it was from the burning embers of this dark and harrowing time that Charmian Devi relocated to London for two years to rebuild her life. Still haunted by her turbulent past, she returned to Canada and a new Charmian emerged, a songwriter and musician who was truly able to crystallise her experiences and express them through her music.

“I really enjoyed recording with Charmian Devi…her songs remind me of bands like the Velvet Underground, raw intuitive and in-tune with the times.” Bassist, Tony Garnier

Dedicated to a life in music and resolutely opposed to authoritarian regimes and dogma, Charmian is the embodiment of everything rock n roll stands for: truth; revolution and unyielding artistry. Her latest single, Radio of None is available on 8th April.

“I’ve really enjoyed producing Charmian because there are fewer and fewer artists today that play inspired & raw folk/rock music and are not trying to polish everything to sound more commercial. Her music speaks the truth and she puts all of herself into her songs. That’s also why I wanted to use musicians that are comfortable in an environment of spontaneous music that’s rough around the edges but carries a meaning and an attitude. Patti Smith, Bob Dylan and Sonic Youth are all raw and unapologetic and make great rock and/or folk music with powerful lyrics and meanings, so choosing Lenny, Tony and Steve was an obvious choice because that is exactly what Charmian does too!” Three-times Grammy Award-winning producer, Marc Urselli
