Pink Milk supply cinematic depth and shoegaze quality in latest single release ‘Heart of Fire’

Following the release of their critically acclaimed 2017 album ‘Purple’ the Swedish alt-rock duo are back with Heart of Fire – a track that creates a soundscape with true absorbance effect. The single is a ballad written by vocalist and drummer Maria for her new-born daughter, allowing a supply of tenderness and emotion amongst the vivid rock rhythms that Pink Milk are known for.

Best compared to those like My Bloody Valentine and Cocteau TwinsPink Milk offer an innovative take on alt-rock motions by creating atmospheric gloom with an uncompromisingly large, raw and reverb-drowned sound.

With their debut album gaining a successful reception whereby it was named the album of the month in Swedish critic’s chart and the UK Indiependent writing that it was ‘one of the most consistently great post-punk albums of the year’ noting the effectiveness of the ‘drum echo […] spindly guitar lines and melodramatic vocals’ the band have gained a notable reputation, one that is undeniably fulfilled in their latest track.
